This is our smallest room, but full of history. The large walnut featherbed was built in 1860, (The time of Lincoln), and it endured the famous Chicago fire. This double bed is not covered with feathers as original, but now has a lovely comfortable pillow toped mattress. The dresser has a marble tops and an antique lamp. The room is filled with Carole’s original art work, quilts, and vintage hats. There is a cozy sitting area for two. This room has a private entrance as well as a spacious bathroom. The bathroom is fashioned from the 50’s and has an interesting arch above the tub/shower. All amenities are included. If history is your interest you will enjoy this room.
